MINI brake systems are engineered for the responsive stopping that MINI’s go-kart handling character demands. JCW models with Brembo performance brake packages use larger rotors and higher-friction pad compounds that require JCW-specific replacement components. Standard MINI brake pads are not appropriate substitutes. Our MINI Certified Master technicians know the correct specification for every MINI configuration.
Most current MINI models use electromechanical parking brakes. When servicing the rear brakes on these models, the EPB actuator must be retracted using MINI diagnostic software before compressing the caliper piston.
Attempting to compress the piston manually without software retraction will damage the EPB motor. We perform this procedure correctly on every applicable MINI brake service.
